Founded in 1950, the company SARL Editions Techniques des Industries de la Fonderie (ETIF) was set up to disseminate works from CTIF’s R&D, its research centre dedicated to forming of materials. It is the company’s main subsidiary.

It publishes the journal Fonderie Fondeur d’Aujourd’hui.

This monthly journal publishes results from research conducted by CTIF but also works fromother French or non-French organisations as well as theme-based dossiers covering more general technical subjects. Through it being distributed to twenty countries world-wide, it has a real international vocation that was strengthened in 2000 by the publication of research articles in English.

It publishes a large number of scientific and technical works.

Their core concern is the forming of metallic materials. The documentary collection, that is regularly enriched by writings from research workers and professionals from the foundry and metallurgy world, contains more than 200 books, software programs, CD-ROMs and standards.
The quality of the technical works published by ETIF has been recognised throughout the world, both in the industrial sector and among university teachers and research workers.

For a number of years, ETIF has been publishing reference works in several languages, as for example: the Cast aluminium alloys, a collective work from thirty specialists, but also the steel casting Design using multimedia techniques to provide the reader with new facilities to increase their knowledge.

In 2004, ETIF opened its Internet site and is preparing new documentary collections like the Cap Info collection where topics like competition, new technologies etc., will be taken up to ever better serve its customers.
